Rescue

Goose is a 3 1/2 year old American Bulldog, Pit Bull mix who found himself at the Whatcom Humane Society in Bellingham Washington in July of 2010 when his family could no longer care for him. Goose is a big ball of love at nearly 100 pounds, he has the biggest head you have ever seen. But his big brain is programmed only to love. After spending a short time at the shelter the staff realized that he was going to have his knee fixed and that was a surgery the shelter could not afford. A plea was sent out for help and a a wonder group called “Fairy Dog Mothers” stepped in to pay for Gooses knee surgery. He went to a shelter foster home to make a recovery. Once he was all fixed up Goose returned to the shelter, but after getting the taste of the good life in a foter home, Goose as not content to stay that the shelter any longer. That is when everything changed for Goose. His wonderful foster mom Lizzie stepped up to give him a wam plce to stay until a forever home could be found. Unfortunatley that home has not been found yet and Goose has been with Lizzie and her Saint Bernard/Hound mix Beau since November of 2010. Lizzie has been working very hard to make Goose the very best dog he can be. He goes to day care at Tails A Wagging where Lizzie also works, at least one day a week. They have taken Rally-O classes together and Goose loved it. He loves all the attention he gets every where he goes, but mostly what he gets from Lizzie, who allows him to sleep on her bed every night. Though Goose is very loved by everyone at the Whatcom Humane Society, Tails A Wagging and everyone else he has met, we are hoping that soon Goose will find the family he has always been looking for, and he can being the next chaprter of his life, in a new home.
